I talk too much, and when I was little, my mom would tell me that her ears "needed to rest," so I started writing my thoughts down instead. I never really stopped.

My roots are in Chicago, my home in California, and for as long as I can remember, I've been driven by a love for reading, writing, and sharing stories. I spend my days creating content for PopSugar and my nights navigating the world of fiction. In the past I worked in marketing and TV production, but writing is the thread that's weaved my life together.

I'm the youngest of five and I live in Marin County with my husband, Radley, and our son, Owen. Our (very) large families include six brothers, three sisters, four siblings-in-law, four nephews, and three nieces. There's never a dull moment, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. — Nora Ephron
